Today is Your Day to Dance Lightly with Life. It Really Is.

Life is a Book of Riddles, with the Real Lessons Writ Small in its Margins.

Today, I Dance Lightly With Life.  - jonathan lockwood huie

Today is your day to dance lightly with life. It really is.

Life is NOT “Supposed to be Fair.” Know that there is no single way that life is “supposed” to be. Demanding that life meet our expectations is a sure fire recipe for a miserable existence. Life is a game with no rules. Life just happens to us regardless of our best intentions. Our only path to happiness lies in being open to receiving whatever life throws at us - with Gratitude. Have NO Expectations of life.

Begin each day as if it were on purpose. - mary anne radmacher

Be a passionate Observer of Life. See the events, feel the emotions, and recognize the difference.
   - jonathan lockwood huie

Joy increases and suffering decreases as one masters the distinction between events and one’s feelings about those events.
   - jonathan lockwood huie

Play with life, laugh with life, dance lightly with life, and smile at the riddles of life, knowing that life’s only true lessons are writ small in the margin.

Having a personal opinion is great. Believing that one’s personal opinion is absolute truth leads to most of the world’s troubles.
   - jonathan lockwood huie

You don’t have the power to make life “fair,” but you do have the power to make life joyful.
   - jonathan lockwood huie

Honor your being,
Release each and every struggle,
Gather strength from life’s storms,
Relax into the arms of spirit.
   - jonathan lockwood huie

I forgive everyone for every “wrong” that I believe they have ever inflicted upon me.   I forgive them for my own sake, that I may release the venom – the anger and resentment within myself - and regain my joy and serenity.   I have compassion for everyone who has ever been a player upon the stage of my life.

I will not be governed by the tyranny of immediacy. - mary anne radmacher

Where there is no accusation of “fault,” there can be no anger.
   - jonathan lockwood huie

Lord, grant comfort, joy and health to those I call friend, to those I call enemy, and to those I have cursed by my indifference.
   - jonathan lockwood huie

Our Joy comes from living our own lives simply and gratefully - never from making any demands whatsoever upon others.
   - jonathan lockwood huie

Say NO to the demands of the world.
Say YES to the longings of your own heart.
   - jonathan lockwood huie

Choose the World You See, and See the World You Choose.
   - jonathan lockwood huie

Beware the Rattlesnake of the Mind.   - jonathan lockwood huie

Powerful Dreams Inspire Powerful Action. - jonathan lockwood huie

When you can taste, smell, and touch your dream, you can enroll the world.

My vision is “Joyful Living for All through Conscious Choice,” and my mission is sharing that vision with the world. Those closest to me have dubbed me, “The Philosopher of Happiness” in recognition of my on-going commitment to seeing Joy in all of life.

I am an author of self-awareness books. My current book project is Simply An Inspired Life (co-authored with Mary Anne Radmacher - author of Live Boldly and Lean Forward Into Your Life), to be published by Conari Press in late 2009.

My wife Suze and I summer on Whidbey Island near Seattle WA and winter near St. Petersburg FL.

I am a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a retired computer technologist-executive.

After 30 years of focusing on a high-pressure job, I looked up and asked, “Is this the meaning of life?” Who, or what, was I? What did I believe about myself and about life? What would bring me lasting happiness?

During the quest that followed, my choice of teachers gradually progressed from psychological to metaphysical to spiritual, as I embarked on the voyage from techno-geek to seeker-of-wisdom - from non-belief to metaphysical questioner to a palpable all-encompassing connection with Spirit.
